June 10th, 2012 We rented our house to a nice family and moved into our 30' Cedar Creek 5th wheel. A new beginning, new adventures, new challenges. This isn't a first - a year after we were married in 1976, we lived in a 27 ft Terry travel trailer for a year and a half in the BC interior, primarily in logging camps. We are content living in close quarters, so we decided to give it a go again.
We had to stay parked in our driveway for the first week while we tended to a few house repairs after the tennants moved in, and despite the oddness of that, we were quite OK with it. The more difficult part was leaving our wonderful neighbours and neighbourhood.
We are starting our "fulltimer" life with 3 weeks in a local park - chill time after 2 months of sorting our stuff for bringing with us, storing, garage sale or donate. We hope to be able to share our experiences for others to enjoy and to glean from.
